Goodbye Buck,
You were a great inspriation to myself and everyone else.

I will always remember those days when I used to watch you and the Buckeroos
on the Buck Owens Ranch shows and Hee Haw.

You and Don Rich made me want to learn how to play guitar...
a Telecaster of course..and like you did..with the Trebble Cranked to10
Thanks for the many shows we saw you play at the Crystal Palace
and the 2 shows at Bimbos.

This was one of the first websites I ever made and I'm glad to share
this special night with all of you, Buck himself visted this site and told me
that he liked what I had done.

We'll miss you Buck!!

It's been 10 years since Buck Owens and the Buckaroos played a show in the Bay Area
but on April 8th 1998, Buck Owens returned, to Bimbo's 365 Club in San Francisco and
brought his own original " Bakersfield Sound" to a SOLD-OUT enthusiastic crowd.

About a year ago, Buck opened up his Nightclub / Museum / Restaurant
"The Crystal Palace" in his hometown of Bakersfield CA.
Buck and the Buckaroos play there on Friday and Saturday nights.
My wife Mary and I were able to make the trip down there 3 times to see
the show, and we even met Buck out in the parking lot!

Congratulations Buck!
The Crystal Palace
1998 ACM Country Night Club of the Year!

Those shows at the Palace were alot of fun, last nights show at Bimbo's was the Best!
This is what Buck had to say about playing here again

"I want to tell you about the Bay Area, You didn't ask me, but I want to tell you.
That's probably my favorite area of all time places to play...It seemed like they had a broader understanding overall of music. They had more tolerance, it seems to be, and they seemed to know when you do something that's outstanding, quicker than other places maybe. It is one of my favorite places to play. I guess it'll always be."
